the edit

This edit is best enjoyed with an explorative mind.

The vaabs edit aims to help you explore a range of carefully considered gifts, to find a moment away from the noise of Black Friday and take some time to consider what you buy for yourself and for others.

As 2021 draws to a close, we wanted to round off the year by sharing some of our latest new products. This year, we’ve built on our fashion and lifestyle understanding to develop, design, and manufacture some considered pieces, collaborating with bright talent and growing the vaabs family.

We hope this edit casts some light on the wider responsibility that consumers and brands can have - to experience products that have a meaningful place, honest purpose and provide pleasure. As a small independent brand, centred around community, we are proud to offer a range of sustainable, design-led products which aim to provide genuine value.

vaabs tasting box - new

This delightful box contains three original vaabs coffee roasts, including our newest roast in collaboration with Outpost.

Open the box to find 100 grams of umlazi, sika and kirasa roast, all individually wrapped in 100% recycled packaging - bringing a variety of coffee from the world’s finest coffee regions to your local environment.

This is an ideal gift for anyone looking to curate their domestic cupboard provisions and continue their coffee exploration. Taste three distinct roasts which complement each other through chocolate, fruit and nut notes - presented with vaabs signature branding.

kabili tee - new

The kabili tee is our newest piece of clothing we are excited to launch as part of this gift edit. In true vaabs style this black heavyweight tee gets its name from the word ‘double’ in Zulu, reflected in the presence of two typographic ‘Vs’. The letters are printed in a raw concrete colourway, appearing on the tee twice, once on the left chest and again as a large centralised back print.

The type is taken directly from the ‘glyph print’, an original typographic expression, designed by illustrator Anna

kirasa roast - new

The kirasa roast, our newest coffee in collaboration with Outpost, is now here - launched especially within this edit.

If you grab a bag of kirasa, you can expect sweet raspberries to burst across a chocolatey base. This bean from Burundi not only springs to life in your cup, but also provides local communities around the Kirasa Washing Station with a springboard out of poverty through the Akawa project. The joint initiative between local operators, SUCCAM, and coffee trader, Supremo, ensures that farmers are paid a fair wage for their efforts - so everyone can enjoy the sweet fruits of this refreshing Bourbon bean.

sindi hoodie

The sindi hoodie is all about layering. This ecru piece provides a mid-weight version of our ballie hoodie, it is constructed in 290gm organic cotton loopback. vaabs detail embroidered on the sleeve in white signs off this minimal unisex piece.

This is a sure-fire favourite for fans of ecru palettes, a colour that seamlessly fits with many sneaker midsoles and headwear options. With super-fitted ribbed cuffs and cover stitching for long lasting durability, it is the ideal garment for layering into transitional seasonal outfits throughout the year.
